I love experimenting with a new technique, don't you?! I frequently attend a book club at Soul Sentiments (my local mixed-media-scrapbook store) where we've been enjoying Pigments of Your Imagination by Cathy Taylor. It's a wonderfully inspirational book about how to use Alcohol Inks. Nestled deep in the book is a short section entitled Batik with Billie Crain. And that's where I got lost for a few days. 😉 If you are curious about Alcohol Inks and their many, many uses, I highly recommend exploring Pigments of Your Imagination. Beware! You might lose time when you get pulled into its magic! By the way, one of the accessories to use with Alcohol Inks is an Alcohol Ink Palette. I love it and absolutely recommend it.

In this episode of Drama-free Friday you'll see some of my Art Journal pages from my previous recent LIVE streams, including my “watercolor faces photo album”. (Skip over to 41:15 to see those pages.)

The Waxed Paper Batik begins at 56:20 if you're anxious to find out what it is. From the Batik paper, I created another Art Journal page as well as square note cards using parts of Mandalas from my Mandala Medley eBook and Mandala Madness – Designs from the Deck eBook. In case you didn't know, Designs from the Deck is free with the purchase of our Mandala Madness Inspiration Cards Deck.

Grab some waxed paper and Alcohol Inks and have fun.  I hope you enjoy this technique as much as I do!

Until next time – Remember to Get Creative today! It's Easy!
