After a bit of Show ‘n Tell, I show how to crochet flowers using buttons as the flower centers. These flowers were inspired by an article in the autumn 2015 issue of GREENCRAFT Magazine authored by Hillaury McShane-Saravia and also by a YouTube video on Teacup and Roses channel https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GidRD_xMm5Y

After demonstrating how to crochet flowers with paper buttons as well as mother of pearl buttons, I grab a bottle of hot pink SEI Tumble Dye and show how to dye the ivory colored flowers. Adirondack Color Wash sprays also work really well for quick dyeing.

These sweet flowers would be great as pins, on cards or journal covers and so much more.

Of course, the Sponsors were delighted to exit Door #1 and show off their handsome faces to the world. 🙂

I hope you give these little blooming beauties a try! I love the way the white or ivory thread can be dyed to match projects. If you crochet some button flowers, I'd love to see and share them. Send pictures to @BarbOwenDesigns.
