I love composition notebooks, but that's obvious in this broadcast! After showing you some of my numerous books, I get started with 2 more covers. One is created with Duck Tape over card stock that is dry embossed and the other is made with layered mono-printed fabric and scraps. I have to say it again – I love composition notebooks!! 🙂

After the show was over, I put the finishing details on the notebooks. I edged the fabric cover with gold metallic paint and a tiny bit of Lava Red Inka Gold Metallic Rub. I even added a few turquoise accents here and there.

If you want to highlight the embossing on duck tape, you can brush a permanent ink pad across the surface or add some metallic rub with your finger.

Be sure to follow me @BarbOwenDesigns so you'll always know when I broadcast an impromptu show. During this time of year, Clausman (my hubs) and I create a very limited edition of hand carved, painted and finished Santas. I often broadcast the painting process and you're welcome to join me.

You'll currently find me broadcasting here on Fridays at 2pm eastern as well as when the mood strikes me. 🙂
