Slot and Tab Book – “Family” Photo Album

I don't know about you, but the holidays can make me laugh as I remember the best of my family gatherings! What better way to commemorate those celebrations than to create a special Album to hold them. During the LIVE YouTube broadcast, you'll get to see the book structure I chose to use. I wanted to create a quick book (when I'm figuring anything out, it's NEVER quick!) that would house my “Family”. I chose the Slot and Tab book which you can find in Making Handmade Books by Alisa Golden, a wonderful resource if you like creating your own books. This book always provides inspiration!

After completing my book, I added the “Family” with inexpensive watercolor (my favorite medium for these folks). Once dried, it's time to let your imagination loose! Simple lines with various pens and a bit of accent with more watercolor completed the images.

Next, my favorite activity – writing the story for the book. Each “Family” member shows me how they wish to be portrayed. 😉 I hope you enjoy seeing my “Family” as much as I love sharing them with you.
