If you love shimmer, check out Inka Gold Metallic Rubs. These 2.2 ounce jars are filled with highly reflective water-based goodness! Inka Gold by Viva Decor is available in approximately 27 different colors so finding the perfect match for your creative need is a cinch. I've used these rubs on metal, paper, and wood with success. It dries quickly and can be buffed to a highly reflective beautiful metallic shine.

From the Viva Decor website: (Note the following has been translated, hence the interesting wording)

Inka-Gold is an easy-to-apply, waxy, pasty décor color with an elegant, metallic shine. It is particularly suitable for absorbent surfaces such as untreated wood, cardboard and terracotta.

Water-based
already dries when polishing
smudge-proof and weather-resistant seal with Inka lacquer possible
Inca gold processing:

Inka gold is applied with a sponge thinly and in a circular motion and polished to shine – depending on the desired color intensity may be applied in several thin layers. Particularly beautiful patina effects can be achieved by slightly blurring Inca Gold.”

Now for the bad news . . .

Inka Gold Metallic Rubs dry out. I deal with this by spraying distilled water in the jar and keeping a folded Baby Wipe over the product. Because I like the colors and shine, I'm willing to put up with the inconvenience. You have to decide whether you're willing to do that or not. If not, there might be another product that would better suit  your needs.

Inka Gold can develop mold. Some colors seem to be more susceptible than others. The Viva Decor representative, with whom I took a class, told us that any mold should be scraped out and disposed of before rinsing the jar with rubbing alcohol. Then place a fresh folded Baby Wipe in the jar (Baby Wipes have antibacterial properties) and close the jar. She also said that it's best not handle the product with your fingers.

I like the Ink Gold colors and I'm willing to put up with managing the jars, although it can be somewhat annoying.

At the end of the day, I give Inka Gold Metallic Rub 1 thumb up and 1 thumb down. 😉

Until next time ~
