Creative Chat With Artist Ian Cody
I was incredibly privileged to be joined by artist, Ian Cody, during the most recent episode of Creative Chats on Drama-free Friday! Ian works magic from his imagination with a Zebra ballpoint pen – seriously, a ballpoint pen!! For those of us who seem to think that having more and better art supplies will somehow improve our creativity, Ian demonstrated the power of simplicity. I wish that each of you could have been live in the studio with us watching how lightly he touched pen to paper. The next best thing is having cameras from different angles that capture as much of the magic as possible. 🙂
The paper Ian enjoys drawing on is Strathmore Mixed-Media because it has some tooth to catch the ink and he also enjoys Moleskine Sketch Books, too. Ian's day job is at Barnes and Noble, so when he has down time, he grabs whatever materials are available, including coffee sleeves like this one which will eventually become a large mural!
You can find Ian on Instagram as well as on Facebook. Please follow him so you can watch his art unfold. Be sure to click the images below to see the incredible detail!
Please join me for the next HowToGetCreative.com show better known as Drama-free Friday! We get together every Friday at 2pm Eastern. If you join me LIVE, we can chat!
Until next time ~
