Tim Holtz Distress Crayons – Review by Barb

I admit it. I'm addicted to Art Supplies and I KNOW I'm not the only one. 😉 When the Tim Holtz Distress Crayons first debuted, I wasn't sure that I needed them. Right! When did that ever stop me?! Eventually, I purchased the first 3 sets that were available and that's when I filmed this review. (As of December, 2017, there are 10 sets of 6 regular and 1 set of 3 metallic crayons. You can see the colors HERE.) I thought there might be a few other “art supply collectors” who were curious about Distress Crayons, so I decided to post the video even though it was filmed a few months ago.

Some of the cool properties of Distress Crayons include:

  • Smooth and water-reactive
  • May be applied directly to porous surfaces
  • Blend with water or other Distress products
  • They mix together to create new colors
  • When dry, Distress Crayons will not smudge like oil pastels

When you watch the video, you'll see my first reaction to Distress Crayons as I experiment with them. I do enjoy them and plan to collect other color sets, too. If you like working with buttery smooth sticks of pigment, I bet you'll enjoy Tim Holtz' Distress Crayons!

Until next time ~
