Friday's stream started with Glossy copy paper and Alcohol Inks. I chose my colors (Ranger Adirondack Alcohol Inks and Piñata Alcohol Inks) that I applied with an Ink Blending Tool fitted with Felt Applicator Pads. It's a very simple process and I quickly filled pages with beautiful vibrant colors. To create lighter colors, I added Ink Blending Solution or Piñata's Claro Extender along with the inks.
Once the glossy pages were filled with color, I showed how I created patterns from my cat and dog drawings. One of the viewers in the live chat suggested using translucent Vellum to make the pattern pieces which is a GREAT idea! I tried that after the stream and indeed, it's a great way to make the pattern!
I used Glue Stick to assemble the cat or dog before attaching the entire figure to a piece of Black Card Stock. Embellishment is easy with a Black or White Gelly Roll Pen. I added a phrase to each card from the Ideology Small Talk sticker pad. The card base is a piece of card stock folded in half to which I attached the created card front. I like Scor Tape or other double-sided tape. To finish the card, I added some Black Archival Ink around the edge. These cards fit perfectly inside Invitation Envelopes.
Below you can see each card. To get a better look, just click the image.
