How to Make an Art Journal from Recycled Pockets

If you're like me, you have an abundance of denim jeans that are just waiting to be recycled into something wonderful. Early this week I was looking through a stack of magazines at my local Barnes and Noble and I was inspired by a photo of a little journal created with pockets. I'm sorry to say that I don't remember the name of the magazine where I saw the idea. 

When I got home, I grabbed a couple of pairs of jeans, cut out the pockets and began playing. I filled my journal with pages of left over water color and mixed-media papers and then created a closure with a belt loop from the jeans.

It's a fun project and my head is spinning with ideas for filling the pages!
