My journals keep me sane!! I love my Art Journals (of which I have MANY) and I love my writing journals. I have even more writing journals than Art Journals! Sad, but true. Lol! During this Drama-free Friday LIVE stream, I showed several of my favorite journals.
When life gets a little sticky, I almost always begin creating Mandalas and many of them live in a special journal. (Scroll to 15:13 in the video if you'd like to see my Mandala Journal.)
Another of my favorite things to do is collect and draw faces. I just can't stop myself! (If you would like to see what I do with the face images I collect and hear my reason for saving them, scroll on over to 31.37.)
Lettering is an art form that I long to be really good at doing. I think I have a long way to go! I show you my Lettering Practice Journal at 1:09:55 if you'd like to check it out.
My latest favorite Art Journal that I created myself is the one I chose to play in during this LIVE stream. The page began with some collaged scraps and then I showed to create a background using Distress Paints by Ranger and Tim Holtz and a couple of stencils.
This is what the page looks like now. It's not finished, but it's getting there! (I thought Spring would never arrive, so I had to add my words of celebration!)
Join me the first Friday of each month for the next episode of Drama-free Friday.
